Information on diagnosing and repairing a DTC trouble code P0401 which is insufficient EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) flow.

P0401 and P0402 2000 Ford Taurus The check engine light on my 2000 Ford Taurus 24 Valve DOHC V6 came on and after scanning with an OBD2 Scan Tool, I received an P0402 (excessive EGR flow).

Jan 21, 2007 · I used a scan tool and got a code for EGR insufficient flow or P0401. I REPLACE THE EGR VALVE AND GASKET (EASY) cleared the code and 40 miles later, the CEL was back.
