Just a few weeks after The Housemaid hit theaters on Dec. 19, Lionsgate announced that production on the movie's sequel, titled The Housemaid's Secret, will begin in 2026. Just like the first movie was based on author Freida McFadden 's bestselling novel of the same name, the second film will be adapted from McFadden's 2023 novel.
