Avon firefighters responded to a New Year's Eve house fire, where seven people and two dogs escaped; four were injured.

Officials say seven people and two dogs were able to get out of the house on their own prior to firefighters' arrival.

Local authorities are investigating a series of vehicle break-ins that occurred overnight Tuesday in West Vail and Avon.
