PAK is a pretty general file extension that different engines use for chunks of data with rather different structures. Sometimes it's basically a renamed zip file, sometimes it's some custom file format. edit: This is a previous discussion on the same topic, and it looks like a few people recommended some extractors that work on a variety of formats.

I wanted to extract a PAK file from this game to get its sound effects and music to make a fan video. I read that one way to extract it is to download Unreal Engine and after you install that, it comes with a PAK extractor tool that you can use to extract PAK files.
Basically what I need to do is open and edit a .pak to juuust replace some 3D models with my own. renaming into .zip corrupted the file though. How are there different types of .pak format anyways? Shouldn't file formats always be handled and function the same way, hence named format?
Pak and Mas is your usual call, depending on your age. If you look old enough, you might get called Pak. Kak is frendlier, usually used by Starbucks barista type of people. Om is more of a family rather a usual call because calling a stranger Om could raise a few eyebrows.
The game the pak files I'm trying to open from is Pumpkin Jack. I've tried everything from using 7-zip to UnrealPak.exe and I still can't open the damn thing. I'd like to view the game's models, art, and music but nothing works.
All of a sudden Opera GX is, upon launch, claiming there is allegedly a corrupted pak file and telling me to reinstall the browser. It's preventing me from interacting with anything besides clicking 'Ok' on the popup which closes the program, despite the browser obviously still working because it's loading all my tabs just fine.
Transfer Pak in Project 64 v 3.0.1??? Is there anyone here that would know how to set up the Gameboy Transfer Pak for Project 64 version 3.0.1.5664? I knew how to go about it on an older version but I reset my computer some time ago and I got an updated version of the emulator so the layout changed somewhat.
So I tried using vortex and most of the mods I want to use don't seem to work, I'm trying bg3 mod manager currently but not all the mods have a .Pak file. Some have data/resources but no Pak file. Can I just not use this mod (even if another mod with a Pak file needs this one) or is there a way around it?
