The U.S. Women do not often make appearances in venues that have never before hosted a USWNT match, but in Kansas City, the USA will play at CPKC Stadium for the first time.
She is the 45th USWNT player to reach that milestone. The roster includes 16 players from the National Women’s Soccer League and seven from five different European clubs.
The USA’s gold medal victory came in just Emma Hayes’ 10th match at the helm of the USWNT, the fastest by any head coach to win a World Cup or Olympics in women’s soccer history.
This year’s week of January training will not include any international matches but will be held concurrently with a 24-player Futures Camp, featuring up-and-coming USWNT prospects.
